Field of Scientific Interest:

Quantum transport in low-dimensional electron systems with extremely strong internal interactions, quantum fluids and solids, superconductivity.

Main Achievements:

  • Proposed the new mechanism of high-temperature superconductivity in a 1D quantum liquid of impenetrable charged particles on an inert neutralizing background (2024).
  • Found the exact solution for nonlinear polaron-like dynamics of the 2D Wigner solid on superfluid 4He (2022).
  • Formulated the theory of anomalous quasiparticle reflection from the uneven surface of a 3He-4He dilute solution (2017).
  • Developed the theory of the effect of radiation helicity on microwave-induced magnetoconductivity oscillations in a 2D electron gas on liquid helium (2017).
  • Described new quantum oscillations and the negative conductivity effect in the photo-excited electron gas under a quantizing magnetic field (2011).
  • Solved the problem of electron detrapping from the polaron to the quasifree state above a liquid helium film (2002).
  • Developed the theory of quantum magnetotransport in the 2D system of strongly interacting electrons on liquid helium (2001).
  • Formulated the theory of transport properties of the 2D Wigner solid coupled to surface dimples on normal and superfluid 3He (1997).
  • Predicted the new mechanism of electron energy relaxation and decay of excited Rydberg states over liquid helium caused by emission of pairs of short-wavelength surface excitations (1978).
  • Formulated the theory of interaction of a 2D electron gas with surface excitations of liquid helium (1974).
