The experimental study of the influence of pressure on the magnetic and superconducting properties of iron-containing superconductors.
The effect of high pressure on the magnetic properties of metals, alloys and intermetallic compounds.

The systematic studies of pressure effects of d-metals and their alloys were carried out. The main mechanisms of the change in the electronic structure of d-metals under all-round pressure were determined.
Features of magneto-volume effects in compounds of rare-earth elements were studied:
- borides - RB₄ (R = Ce, Sm, Yb), RB₆ (R = Ce, Sm, Eu, Gd);
- RT₄Al₈ (R = Sc, Y, La, Lu; T = Fe, Mn, Cr).
The anomalous pressure effects were detected in the magnetic properties of cobaltites RCoO₃ and manganites RMnO₃.
The сorrelations between the magnetic and superconducting properties of high-temperature superconducting FeSe(Te) under hydrostatic pressure were investigated.

Pendulum-type magnetometer, the movable part of which is located directly in the high-pressure chamber. The pressure transmitting medium is gaseous helium (created pressure up to 2 kbar). The main technical parameters: temperature range is 78 ÷ 300 K; working field is up to 17 kOe; relative measurement error does not exceed 0.05%.
Setup based on the levitation method. This method consists in determining the magnetic characteristics by free suspension of the sample in a strong non-homogeneous magnetic field. As the pressure transmitting medium, helium gas is used (maximum pressure up to 2 kbar). Main technical characteristics: temperature range is 20.3 ÷ 300 K; the maximum field in the working point is 10 kOe; typical relative error of measurements is 0.05%.
Faraday force magnetometer. The main technical parameters: operating temperature range is 4.2 ÷ 350 K; range of measured magnetic susceptibilities is (1 ÷ 1000)⋅10^-7 emu; the sensitivity of the method is ~10^-9 emu.
