Critical Phenomena under Extreme Impact (CPUEI-2012)

International Workshop in celebration of 80-th Birthday of Victor V. Eremenko

Sept. 10-13, 2012, Kharkov, Ukraine

PROGRAMME

GENERAL INFORMATION

The International Workshop «Critical Phenomena Under Extreme Impact» will honor the 80th birthday of   Victor V. Eremenko,   a scientist in the field of low temperature physics, whose scientific activity is connected with the study of low-temperature magnetism, spectral and magneto-optical phenomena, magnetic phase transitions in antiferromagnets, superconductivity and the galvanomagnetic phenomena in metals, the exciton processes in antiferromagnetic, semiconducting and molecular crystals.

His scientific career began at the Institute of Physics of NAS of Ukraine. More than half a century he works at the B.Verkin Institute for Low Temperature Physics & Engineering of NAS of Ukraine, and was its director from 1991 to 2006. At the present time – he is the Director's Adviser of ILTPE, the chief editor of “Low Temperature Physics” journal, and honorary doctor of the V. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

SCOPE

The scope of the International Workshop covers the investigations of the behavior of different systems at low temperatures, in magnetic fields, under pressure, etc.
