Main directions of studies

Investigations of magnetic properties and effects related
to phase transitions in HighTc, GMR and CMR oxides.

Studies of static magnetic properties of anisotropic systems
with magnetic rare-earth and transition metal ions, being in paramagnetic
and/or magnetically ordered state.

Investigations of structural defects with magnetic methods.

Studies of non-collinear magnetic
structures.
Identification of magnetic
field induced structural phase transitions in manganese oxides.
Detection of giant diamagnetic
peculiarities in orbital susceptibility of metals and intermetallic compounds
under electronic topological transitions in band structure.
Experimental equipment
SQUID magnetometer for magnetization and magnetic susceptibility
measurements that operates at temperatures 4.2 –
300 K, fields 0 – 5 T.
